This is a 4th generation 23 hectare organic estate located at the temperate Atlantic end of the Loire Valley, near the city of Nantes. The Pays Nantais region benefits from a cool maritime climate with cool springs, warm and humid summers allowing Melon de Bourgogne to reach maximum expression.
The vineyards rest on the gneiss and mica-schist soils that are the best of the region.
The grapes are gently pressed. Then, the fermentation started in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on lees for several months to gather texture and complexity.
Grape: 100% Melon de Bourgogne
Tasting Note: Subtle notes of greengage, preserved lemon touched with the saline Atlantic breeze and a brisk, mineral finish but with a lovely creamy textural note on the mid-palate.
Food Match: Ideal with a plate of oysters or sushi and sashimi.
