At its authorisation in 2020, Prosecco Rosé became a brand new category for the Prosecco DOC region (although not for Prosecco DOCG zones such as Conegliano-Valdobbiadene). The first wines hit the shelves in January 2021.
Terra Serena - from the Serena family who have made wines in the region since 1881 - launched their Prosecco Rosé as a blend of 88% Glera and 12% Pinot Nero, with fruit coming from the Provinces of Treviso, Padova, Pordenone and Venice.
9-11 g/l of sugar emphasise the attractive core of fruit in this Prosecco, which includes strawberry tones from the Pinot.
Fresh and clean, it's perfect as an aperitif, or with appetizers and light fish courses.
An excellent Pink Prosecco!
